the best animated movie ever !

the last unicorn ! how many people actually heard of this low budget production ? not many , i guess ! i just hate it when low budget movies go unrecognized ! just because they're low budget , doesn't mean its horrific ! i mean seriously people , just because it's low in buget , we just push it away ! well here's the thing , i bet you that low budget films are way better than the high budget ones ! coming back , this animation is actually the best i've seen in my entire life ! the first time i watched it was when i was 5 and then my vhs spoiled ! i searched and searched and searched all over malaysia and singapore but i still couldn't find it ! this is where e -bay came in ! i was so close to purchase it online when my mothers friend from u.s said she found it ! yay ! lets talk about the movie ! well, its about this unicorn which happens to be the last unicorn around due to the fact some evil dude (king haggard) summoned all the unicorn and banished them to the sea with the help of his red bull , a mythical creature that only appears when a unicorn approaches it ! hahahhaa ! the depiction of it is really cool . now we know where peter jackson got the idea to create the balrog from lord of the rings ! it looks excatly like that ! trust me ! so , this last remaining unicorn must save her kind and defeat the evil ! the story line is kinda cliche' the way i put it , but seriously its not ! the whole movie consists of its fair share of twists and turns ! uuumh ! the music is just out of this world ! the songs are all enjoyable and you are sure to sing along ! i know all the songs by heart ! uuummh ! leaving the music aside , the language used in this movie is so profound and melodious ! mia farrow especially ! did an awesome job ! christopher lee just does it everytime ! his works are so profound and inodious ! the art , however has this almost japaneesy animae kinda look to it ! not totally , but just the eyes and the colours used ! what else ? the dialogues are very serious ! they're not very humourous unlike the silly american jokes that just drives me up the wall ! basically , this is a sad and very serious cartoon that every child would enjoy ! sounds wrong , right ? hahhahhaa ! i assure you , even the adults would be in front of the television set ! hahhahahahaha ! oohh ! i have to point this out ! this is not a disney production ! to me disney has only managed to produced very few good movies ! and i just have to say that independent movies rule ! so , the last unicorn should be watched by every child and adult !

what do we think of the last air bender !

book 1 : water !

now , just when i thought this movie was gonna be bad (despite the fact that M. Night Shyamalan has never made a movie i hate ) , i thought the movie was horrific !

you see people , this is what will happen to one (director) when he out of the blue decides to make a movie based on an adaptation !

M. Night Shyamalan previous movies are all based on original ideas !

just to name a few , lady in the water , the unbreakable , signs , the village and the oscar nominated sixth sense !

Shyamalan usually has a flare when he does his movies !
you know that whole steven spielberg kinda thingy , but its not really that at all !

if you watched all his movies , you would notice that he is a man of twisted plots and i do understand the fact that i don't see twisted plots in the last air bender !
it is merely an adaptation of a cartoon and the main audience would have to be the kiddies ! the movie would definitely need to be simple and not too complicated !


leaving that aside , let's talk about the acting which just have to point out !

dev patel !
i know he starred in the oscar hit last year , slumdog millionaire ,
but here in this movie his performance was merely from the slums !
with his stiff body language and inability to convey the right facial exppressions at the right time , just made me wanna walk out of the cinema !


the rest of them were just merely terrible and i don't even feel like blogging about this movie !

what comes to your mind when the word fondant is mentioned ?

well , that just happens to be my point !
you see , there are ample of stuff that come up to one's mind !
seriously people , when it comes to fondant , there is really no boundaries at all !

anything ! i mean anyting at all !
now , some of you might still be confused of the term sugar paste , marzipan , and fondant !

well , let me tell you those stuff i mentioned before are all so similar !
sculptures, molding , shaping and anything at all !
even fine art can be conjured with this fondant !

with it's stick but soft texture , it's sure to bring out the adventure within you !

those days , people used fondant for only and ONLY wedding cakes !
you know , those 5 tiered or maybe even 10 tiered cakes (which we saw at lisa menelli's wedding)

fondant is truly in a league of its own !

i remember i made my first fondant cake during new year !
it was a uuummhh cake shape in 2010 !
i know it wasn't that good , but i still enjoyed my time molding and applying it onto the cake !

what do we think of inception

people , i have to say that when i heard chris nolan was doing a film with leonardo dicaprio , i was stoked .
well , maybe not stoked but almost there !
anyway , chris nolan , the director of many good films such as momento , dark night and many more never fails to impress me especially with his out of the world concepts and plots ! ( IT ALWAYS THICKENS ) .

ANYWAY IN INCEPTION , WE GET TO SEE HOW DREAMS ARE INTERPRETED .
I MUST SAY THAT THE DREAMS APPEAR VERY CONSTRUCTIVE AND NOT THE CLICHE' HAPPY AND MAGICAL THINGY THAT WE SEE IN ALMOST EVERY MOVIE ! THATS'S THE THING WITH NOLAN . HE EXCEEDS IN ORIGINALITY .

ONE OF THE THINGS WHICH I LOVE IN THIS MOVIE IS THE TOTEM !
I LOVE THIS CONCEPT !
A TOTEM , A TOOL THAT ENSURES WHETHER ONE I STILL DREAMING !
I WONDER WHAT MY TOTEM WOULD LOOK LIKE ?
I WOULD PROBABLY ASSOSIATE HARRY POTTER !

isn't it the best movie you have ever watched ?
i believe so . with it's aura for breath-taking scenaries and profound music direction by academy award winner Dario marianelli (also the music director for pride and prejudice)!

let's talk about the awesome music !
dario was kinda going for a composition that would stay true Ian mcewan's novel which would be pre-ww2 ish and maybe a bit victorian !
it is an immense fact that the music in this movie is so stunning that even i can't stop talking about it !'
let's take a look at the composition per say ,
ummmhh !
love letters !
till this date this piece can make me cry ! for me this piece tells the story of the movie and if this piece could be translated , you would have "atonement "
it definitely deserved the oscar it won (i'll get to that part later ).
ooh !
let's not forget the piece entitled "briony" .
dario marianelli actually used a typr-writer to complete this piece !
at the background of this piece , you come to hear sounds of the typr-writer !
briony is trully classic !

let's now move on to the acting or performances shall i say !
1. james mcavoy -
he kinda did a fair job , though i wasn't sure he could be more natural at speaking fast !
2. keira knightley -
what can i say ! she's god ! i just think she is one of the greatest actress in this new generation of crappy actresses !(vanessa ann hugdens let's say (i hate her )) .
coming back to keira !
she is excellent at what she does and there's nothing she can't do (i have generated a particular favoutism for keira knightley ) .

3. saoirse ronan -
for a new comer , i think she did an amazing job , depite the fact that she was the only one to be nominated for an acting role at the oscars for this movie (i am furious with the academy for doing this ) .



my point of view !
i think ATONEMENT should have won all 7 academy awards that it was nominated for and on top of that nominated for more !

i love atonemnet and there's nothing you can do to stop it !

ok , i went to watch this highly rated tamil movie yesterday !
the truth is , i actually went to watch this movie mainly because of the director ( MANI RATHNAM ) and the likes of 2 time ACADEMY AWARD winner A.R RAHMAN (music director).

mani rathnam is famous for his beautiful and elegant shots and of course the story line !
he makes unconventional tamil movies which me and my family like !
so much so that we actually don't watch a tamil movies until we know the director !

coming back to this movie ,
of course it was beautiful !
so beautiful that i was in "awe " .
the cinematography was so profound !

the cast were all very well assembled and they did a pretty good performance !
Aishwarya RAI was as beautiful as ever and her co-star (prithvi raj) was given a really good make-over !


the music was of course very well composed !
A.r Rahman was going for an earth , folk type a thing which was very much to my liking !
the songs were just o.k !

the thing is , that is all i can tell about the movie !
the story was really cliche' and not impressive !


all in all this was an O.K movie which i don't think i can watch again !

there's been certain speculations that she actually worships the devil or is she the devil ?

i'm not too sure myself but it has been about time that someone actually defended her !


lady gaga is nothing but wacky costumes (or in my words couture )and drenched in 6 inches of M.A.C , oh ! not to mention those very "artistic" videos !


all that lady gaga wants is to be different !
in an interview by MTV she said " all i want to do is to prove that there are no boundaries , so i am making that happen "


is that her fault ?
she taking up a challenge .
for years now , the media has trashed her so badly .
from calling her a hermaphrodite to a transexual and now THE DEVIL ?
seriously , people !


if you people are so into and so dedicated and so faithful to your religion , i' m sure people wouldn't have the heart to trash someone like this !

does your religion tell you to trash people and to create rumours and worst still ,
spread those rumours ?

you people get so influenced by these antoganist who tremble upon thick clouds of confusion !
