what do we think of my boy jack

well , there's nothing better to do than to watch a low budget british independent production on a cold morning !

it follows john kippling's , the son of famous novelist , rudyard kippling journey to join the british arm forces during the cold war between germany and great britain !

it proved to be a struggle as john (daniel radcliffe) has visual impairment ! after much rejection from the british forces , he uses his father's influence to join in .

the thing about this movie is , it tells a remarkable story of the relationship between a father and a son . rudyard (david haig) was excellently played and at times i just felt his pain and annoyance . he was kind of a selfish father ! it was he who cause his son's death as mentioned by his daughter , played by carrie mulligan .

i shall now talk about the performances as i believe this movie should be watched without much revealings .

daniel radclife : i mean he's been my friend ever since 1999 and to see him do something different rather from the nerdy boy who lived makes me a bit reluctant to watch ! hahahaha ! but i guess he did do a decent job ! he still had the same facial expressions of harry potter and his voice .hahaha ! at times i thought i was watching harry potter . pretty good job judging that his character dies in the end ( heart-breaking , really ) !

carrie mulligan : she played john's sister and she didn't have much role to play . i mean she did have her fair share of star moments , especially when she cried ( oh wait ! that's what she does in every movie ) she's a good crier . hahahaha !


kim catrall : she seemed really good ! she stole show by playing john's mother ! i mean she did an awesome job ! it must be a terrible thing for a mother to loose her son . gosh 1 the pain . i can't even imagine it ! in fact just 2 weeks ago , i went for my friends funeral ! he met with an accident and he's body was crush by a pick up truck . it was sooooooooo heart breaking to see his mother and family !
may he rest in peace . he was not 19 !


to sum up things ! this movie will actually do you good ! watch it not because of daniel radcliffe but for the pride of the kipling family and yours ! hahahhaa !
